Takara Tomy delivers a dream crossover with SYNERGENEX Transformers x Evangelion Prime Unit 01, a collaboration that fuses the iconic presence of Optimus Prime with the distinctive design language and color scheme of Evangelion Unit-01. The concept is bold and collector-focused: Optimus Prime is “scanned” with EVA-01, resulting in a hybrid character—Evangelion Prime Unit 01—that feels instantly recognizable from both worlds while standing as a unique centerpiece for any shelf.
This release features a full transformation from robot mode into a truck-type vehicle mode, maintaining the classic Transformers play pattern while bringing EVA styling into every angle. In robot mode, the figure is fully poseable with articulated joints across the body, allowing dynamic action stances, heroic “leader” silhouettes, or EVA-inspired aggressive poses with weapons drawn and core exposed.
Accessories are themed directly after Evangelion Unit-01’s armaments, including an Ion Gatling Blaster, two Progressive Energy Knives, and a Cassius Axe. For clean display, the included back mount unit allows accessories to be attached to the figure’s back, helping you create a loaded “battle-ready” look without cluttering the base around the figure.
One of the most striking display features is the chest mechanism: opening the chest panel reveals the internal core. The core can be removed and attached to the included Core Matrix, enabling a dramatic “core presentation” pose—perfect for recreating high-impact scenes and making the crossover concept feel more “Evangelion” in spirit.
The head also offers two distinct looks. You can switch from a mask-on state to a mask-off state, and in mask-off mode the mouth can open and close, adding extra character and expression for photography and display.
